The General Action Against the Violation of Human and Children is Right is a Non Government, Non profit making civil society organisation with it's headquarters based in Nigeria and affiliated with peaceways/Young General Assembly, Peace-child International, the British Council, UNICEF Nigeria, Connecting Futures Forum (CFF), Human Right International Network (HURINET), Peer Mediators International, Africans Unite Against Child Abuse, Kudirat Initiative for Democracy (KIND), West African NGO Network (WANGONET) to mention but a few.
GAAVOHCR has two different agencies working under her and functions in different schools all over Nigeria called child right Movement (CRM) and Peer Mediators (PM).
We are principally concerned with the Development and Promotion of Human Rights. We also lay emphasis on the protection and development of children's Right and Human Right Education, which forms the Fulcrum upon which our work is premised. In carrying out work, we employ the means of advocacy, lobbying and legislative reforms
MISSION STATEMENT
PURPOSE:
To sensitize Children and Young People on their rights and responsibility and to promote the principles enshrined in the Convention of the Right of the Child.
AIMS:
To promote the convention on the right of the child and the universal Declaration of Human Rights, global peace, and to work with stakeholders on the Development of the child and participation of children and Young people.
GAAVOHCR realizes this dream through: the organizing of awareness and enlightenment programmes, organizing training workshop to promote children and Young People's Development and life skills among Youths, recruiting children and Young people as peer educators, collaboration with international humanitarian organization to develop ideas and project that will create a child friendly world and uniting children and young people worldwide through: International client (www.voy.org) and so on.
